Ghana Premier League heads, have put all Kotoko football-related activities on hold because of the terrible incident which happened in Nsoatre over the weekend, to precise the Kotoka match-day 19 game against Nsoatreman Football Club.
Kotoko top Club supporter, Francis Yaw Frimpong popularly known as Nana Pooley was stabbed to death at the entrance of the Astroturf. They did their possible best to save him but he died on the way to the district hospital.
This very incident happened at the Nana Koromansah II Stadium on February 2, sunday afternoon with his death being as a result of acts of violence at the match centre.
The Asante Kotoko football club has stop training and other football related activities While the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Police Service have began an investigation into the incident that brought results of this shutdown. The Ghana Premier League authorities are drawing tables setting new match schedules due the situation.

Asante Kotoko suspends all footballing activities of the senior team until further notice. Our stance remains unchanged, we will not resume footballing duties until justice is served and concrete steps are taken to prevent such barbaric acts from ever happening again
Additionally Management team for Nana Koromansah II Stadium/Astroturf has cease all activities that will be performed on the football pitch until further investigations is done before they start to operate as they use to.
